Since 2015, our family run business (we are NOT a franchise!) has been serving shoppers online and those who have visited our pretty little shop in the beautiful lakeside town of Southampton, Ontario. Whether we are helping customers in person at the store or online from anywhere in Canada, we still appreciate every single sale we make and believe in backing it up with small town personal customer service. We also continuously strive to find, develop and research new recipes and cooking techniques that showcase our products and make you the most popular ‘home chef’ or entertainer in town!

All Canadians are keenly interested in the origins of the products they buy, and we understand why!
Transparency is important to us, so we’d like to share some details about where our oils and vinegars come from.

Our extra virgin olive oils reflect the seasonality of olive harvests worldwide. For half the year, you’ll find oils sourced from the Mediterranean regions of Italy, Spain, Greece, Tunisia and Portugal. During the other half, we feature exceptional oils from the Southern Hemisphere, including Chile, Peru, Argentina and Australia. It’s worth noting that commercial olive oil production is not currently established in Canada.

Our balsamic vinegars are authentic products of Modena, Italy. To carry the “balsamic vinegar” designation, they must originate from either Modena or Reggio Emilia, ensuring their quality and traditional production methods.

We do note that our oils & vinegars enter North America through ports in California.

As a locally owned and operated family business in Southampton, we are deeply rooted in our community. While our core products are sourced from their traditional regions, we are committed to supporting many Canadian suppliers for our accompanying goods. You’ll find items from exceptional producers such as BMKC Canada (of Port Elgin) for our great dry rubs, Saltwest Naturals (of Sooke, BC) for high-quality sea salt and flavour-infused salts and beauty bath salts, Sinai Gourmet (of Montreal, Canada) for our unique HOT sauces, Gibsons Honey (of Owen Sound) for lip balms, Nakd Basics (of Owen Sound) for our body butter, Olive Baby (of Barrie) for chapstick and others as well!
